"Jocelyn Rojo Carranza" is a stitched fabric construction done in three layers of cotton using quilting and applique' techniques. This artwork is a memorial to eleven-year-old Jocelyn who committed suicide after being teased about I.C.E. coming for her parents. She played the French Horn and loved to sing and dance. Her favorite thing to do was get her nails done with her grandma. Her story. is a tragedy brought on by failed immigration policies.
